Learning through play and discovery
The heart of the initiative is the newly created “STEM corner,” which was developed in cooperation with the municipality of Nüziders. In the so-called “little detectives’ corner,” children explore the world around them with curiosity and excitement. They observe scientific phenomena, and approach technical questions in a playful and age-appropriate way. This playful approach sparks imagination, encourages questioning, and builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
A strong signal for the region
The municipality also sees the project as an important step in the continued development of early childhood education. Mayor Florian Themeßl Huber emphasizes: “The ‘little detectives’ corner allows children to follow their natural curiosity. Such learning environments are key to inspiring a spirit of discovery from an early age.”
Investing in the future
For Gantner, one thing is clear: innovation begins long before education or career choices. “Innovation grows from curiosity and the courage to try things out. When children are encouraged to explore and experiment in kindergarten, we lay the foundation for the skilled professionals of tomorrow,” says Elmar Hartmann. The strong collaboration between educators, the municipality, parents, and regional partners shows how meaningful educational initiatives can be created together. By sponsoring this project, Gantner once again underlines its commitment to the region and to the next generation of explorers and innovators.
