Matrix 7.x offers a modern web interface that can be used with any modern browser without installing client software. This allows for more flexible use of the software by users, reducing the workload for the IT department and the demands on client PCs.
Access permissions in Matrix 7.x are displayed in list form, which is better suited for large systems than the matrix view. From Matrix 7.1 onwards, the matrix view is also available in the web UI. The display can be switched between list and matrix views at any time.
In access control systems for large companies, access authorizations for many doors and people must be managed. For example, different locations have different holidays, on which different authorizations apply. At some locations, in addition to the company's own premises, other companies also rent space and use the same access control system. Powerful filters in the Matrix 7 web UI simplify work. These filters are centrally integrated into the software interface and are available everywhere. By dividing the system into independent location and organization filters, even complex tasks become very simple. Thanks to the powerful filters, even large systems can be divided into smaller sections, which can then be ideally managed in the matrix view.
The migration to Matrix 7.x will be carried out on the existing databases, and both user interfaces can be used simultaneously. This simplifies the transition and minimizes the immediate training effort for users.
