DAY1 is a premium health and fitness concept that brings together modern training facilities, wellness, diagnostics and recovery services such as cryotherapy and red light therapy. The facility is designed for members who expect the highest standards in performance, comfort and service and is also used by professional athletes, including football and NHL players.

THE CHALLENGE
A premium health and fitness environment requires more than reliable access control. Technology needs to integrate seamlessly into the member journey without creating additional complexity for staff or visitors. DAY1 needed a solution that could securely manage personal belongings, identify members across the facility and control access to different areas while supporting fast reception processes and fitting naturally into the high-end environment.
Solution
Gantner implemented a comprehensive access and locker management solution throughout DAY1. Around 122 electronic NET.Locks provide secure storage for members, while more than 20 GT7 terminals enable member identification and access to different areas of the facility. A dedicated GT7 terminal also controls elevator access, connecting access permissions with movement between floors. At reception, a GC7.3000 control unit and two scanners integrated directly into the reception desk enable fast member identification and communication with the club management system. Together, the components create a unified ecosystem that combines security, convenience and efficient operations.
