Goethe University

Goethe University

Frankfurt, Germany

The Goethe University required a modern electronic locking system for lockers that would not require the administration of keys, meaning student IDs needed to operate the lockers. With a solution from GANTNER, students can securely use lockers by simply presenting their student ID cards to the lock’s reader. Approximately 1,200 lockers have been fitted with GANTNER battery operated locks and further expansion will include on-line networked electronic locks, as it enables a complete overview of the lockers, including real time occupancy and analysis reports and an alarm function on the network. With an RFID platform, students and staff benefit from the security and convenience of one Id with multiple functionality.
